Victoria Airport Sidney is Australia’s busiest airport and the regional hub for Victoria, Southern New South Wales, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory. It is also the nearest airport to Melbourne. The airport is operated by the Victoria Airport Corporation (VACC) and services more than 1.5 million passengers a year. The airport has two terminals and apron area of 1,500 hectares. The airport has two runways: 12/30 is 5,002 metres long while 03/21 is 3,970 metres long.

The airport covers an area of 2,000 acres and has a runway that is 6,000 feet long and 150 feet wide. In 2006, the airport had 1,848 aircraft operations. It is served by Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines and United Airlines. The airport has a jetport that can handle up to 14 planes at a time and there are also three smaller jetports that can handle up to four planes each. There are also facilities for helicopters and small aircraft.
